Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff of the ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ Enterprise, 

After nearly a decade of dedicated service and steadfast leadership, has announced he will be retiring this year at the end of July. After a long and distinguished career in journalism, President Mong joined ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ Dallas in 2015, becoming the institution’s third president. He has played a pioneering role and led the university through a period of growth and significant transformation.

ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ Dallas President Bob MongUnder President Mong's visionary leadership, ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ Dallas saw an increase in student enrollment and retention, more than doubling the number of degrees awarded. During his tenure, ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ Dallas added a student center and its first residence hall, providing needed resources and opportunities for students. President Mong has also shepherded the development of a new STEM building. Once complete, it will provide teaching and lab space necessary to produce more career-ready graduates in high-demand healthcare fields.

President Mong's commitment to excellence in education and community engagement has had a profound impact in the community. He built and fostered integral community relationships and partnerships with local school districts and neighboring community colleges to create unique educational pathways for students. President Mong was instrumental in bringing community leaders together around the creation of a new regional police training academy that will be located at ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ Dallas. President Mong’s ability to bring people and communities together has meaningfully transformed ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ Dallas’ profile, impact, and influence. 

Please join me in thanking President Mong for his service and unyielding dedication to ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ Dallas and its students, families, and communities. The progress he has made and the challenges he has overcome will leave a lasting legacy. 

As we transition to this important next chapter following President Mong’s retirement, we remain committed to ensuring ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ Dallas continues to have strong leadership and support.
